FALL BOARD MEETING
TRAA held its annual Fall Board Meeting at the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum on September 20, 2013. The weekend was chock full of events including the Tennessee Tow Show, the Induction Ceremonies into the Hall of Fame, and the moving dedications to the Wall of the Fallen.
The TRAA Board of Directors and Cabinet are always grateful to the Museum for the invitation and hospitality afforded us on these busy weekends…of particular note are Cheryl Mish and George Connolly who accommodate our every need and make us feel right at home. Thank you for another great weekend!
This year’s committee meetings and Board meeting focused on the road going forward as they bring on a new Executive Director and move toward expanding the association to include more active members and participants in the committees and at the meetings. Planning is in the works to expand and move the association forward so stay tuned…join a committee of your choice and attend our next meeting in March.
Last year our Bylaw Chair, Kathy Sellner, spearheaded an effort to change the Bylaws to include an Associate Member on the Cabinet. At the Board meeting we welcomed Jeffrey Godwin of TowPartners as our first associate member on the Cabinet…welcome aboard Jeffrey!
The Executive Director reported that the National Driver Certification Program continues to grow to the point that we have tested over 15,000 towers nationwide.
Remember to get your drivers certified…it is a safety issue and that is why it is our signature program!
Many thanks to Insurance Auto Auctions for sponsoring our Board Luncheon.
